Recruitment of a Steering Group for a Digital Tool to Help Children & Young People Process Their Experiences of Domestic Abuse

AVA’s Tech vs Abuse project aims to develop a digital tool for children and young people to help them process their experiences of domestic abuse within their households. We are designing this tool in an agile way, and it will be co-designed by children and young people to ensure it meets their needs.  We also are acutely aware that for it to be safe and appropriate we need input and expertise from professionals that work with children and young people. Therefore we are setting up a steering group of professionals from different disciplines to act as a critical friend and give us advice through the development stage.  We are looking for professionals who work with children and young people in the following settings:

  • Health e.g community health setting, sexual health, mental health
  • Social work – especially around safeguarding

We will have an initial meeting over zoom on April 29th, and possibly another once we have a working prototype during the summer. On top of that we will be asking for feedback either via Slack or email. It would be great if you would be willing to be involved – please contact  joanna.sharpen@avaproject.org.uk
