AVA facilitated the young people’s expert reference group which informed the new guidelines. On 27 February at 2pm, we will be taking part in a webinar with other members of the guidelines committee. This free event will be useful for any practitioners working with children and young people affected by abuse and/or neglect.
This webinar offers an opportunity to hear more about these guidelines and their recommendations, and will include:
- An overview of the guidelines and the range of evidence that underpins the recommendations
- The key principles for practice, as identified by the young people who helped develop the guidelines
- When to be worried that abuse or neglect is happening
- Interventions that can be effective
There will be opportunities throughout to ask questions and share ideas.
