Frontline workers give so much to others, it is important that we encourage them to still view themselves as a priority and allocate time to self care activities - in giving so much to others they may understandably feel drained and need encouragement to focus energy on themselves too.
After their demanding work days they may have less capacity to talk or reply to messages for example - allow them this silence, it is not personal.

Try to help them to keep work in one space within their home if possible and suggest that they have work clothes and home clothes, or that they take a walk after work to signify a break between the work day and being at home.

Facilitating positive self reflection for another person is a very worthwhile and kind act. Many survviors will have negative messages given to them by their perpetrator and helping them to unlearn these is incredibly valuable.
