Domestic Abuse: How to Ask and Respond to Disclosures

This course includes around three hours of learning. Our aim is to provide you with a basic awareness of how to ask about domestic abuse and respond to disclosures so that you are better prepared to support survivors in your own professional practice.

More specifically, by the end of the course, you will:

  • have increased knowledge of the indicators of domestic abuse
  • have an understanding of how to ask about and respond to disclosures of domestic abuse
  • be able to demonstrate and understand the reasons why it is difficult to leave an abusive relationship
  • have a better knowledge of relevant support services.

The course is relevant to any practitioner who may be working with the public.
