Peer support occurs when people provide knowledge, experience, emotional, social or practical help to each other – it’s people with the same or similar lived experience who offer support to one another. It offers a uniquely empowering experience, meeting the needs of those with lived experiences in a different way to other service offers. Join us for this free webinar where we will dig deeper into the nature and impact of peer support, the benefit it can offer, the motivation of those working as peer supporters, and what is needed to make sure it is safe for all. We will also hear from a local authority commissioner who will offer a strategic insight into embedding peer support and co-production in the commissioning cycle.
This webinar is delivered via Zoom and will be have BSL interpreters.
