In light of the Government’s latest advice on Coronavirus, we are taking a number of steps regarding AVA training:
- We are contacting commissioners to suggest postponing training that has been booked with us, so that it can be delivered a time when it is safe to do so.
- We are postponing open training until the Government’s advice changes.
We know that learners value AVA training and that it has a real impact on people’s practice, improving the experience of service users. However, we cannot guarantee sufficient distance between learners at our training venues, and do not feel that we can justify the risks of both travel and classroom activities to our trainers and learners. In addition, many of our commissioners need to postpone training to meet the additional challenges created by the virus.
We are looking at options for providing interactive training online, and in the meantime our e-learning courses remain available at http://www.elearning.avaproject.org.uk/
At AVA we are now working remotely, so if you have any questions about this or any other aspect of AVA training please email training@avaproject.org.uk, and we will ring or email you back.
Please follow us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn if you want to keep up to date with developments.
Our community of learners is an important part of the AVA family, and we look forward to seeing you back in the training room before too long.
